 FARM FESTIVAL

WE WANT TO DO IT OUR WAY

When it comes to weddings, every couple has their own story. For Charlie and Chris, the journey was about embracing their individuality, breaking traditions, and creating a day that truly reflected who they are.

Charlie, my radiant bride, saw potential where others might see a challenge: her parents’ farm. It was a blank canvas of rolling paddocks and a barn that wasn’t quite a barn—yet. Convincing John, her father, was step one. While he may not have been on board immediately, by the time we were done, he was beaming with pride at what we achieved together.

This wasn’t just a wedding; it was a transformation. The vibe was vibrant, alternative, and unapologetically quirky. Think fields of wildflowers, bursts of colour at every turn, and an atmosphere so electric, you couldn’t help but get swept away.

Forget formal sit-down dinners. For Charlie and Chris, it was all about the sizzle of a BBQ, the clinking of glasses filled with handcrafted cocktails, and the hum of conversation under the open sky.

The bar became the heartbeat of the celebration, offering drinks that were as bold and creative as the couple themselves. And, of course, live music was a non-negotiable. When the groom is a guitarist in a band, you don’t just hire entertainment—you become it. Chris and his band filled the air with soulful melodies and high-energy anthems, creating memories that linger long after the last note faded.

pulling together a wedding like this isn’t about ticking boxes; it’s about artistry. It's about convincing a farmer that his paddocks could host the celebration of the year. It's about finding the balance between rustic charm and the couple’s modern vision. And it's about managing everything from logistics to the last-minute rain shower (because, let’s be honest, British weather keeps us on our toes).

What made this wedding unforgettable wasn’t just the barn that became a barn, or the cocktails that became the talk of the town. It was the way every single element—every colour, every sound, every flavour—came together to tell their story.

THEIR STORY

When the groom plays the bass in a mega cool reggae band........the bride prefers her hunter wellies to Jimmy Choo’s..... and they both don’t want a formal or stuffy style for their wedding!!!! LETS PARTY......

Charlie had spotted that I'd designed, planned and co-ordinated an old school friend’s wedding Caroline (Lambton Wedding) and contacted me about an idea they had about getting married on the family farm. Skip forward a few months and with excavation work completed on the paddock, a marquee company in place and huge plans for the hay barn, the wedding started to take shape. This style of wedding is totally reliant on selecting the correct suppliers to ensure the day runs smoothly and has the right gritty vibe....
