Q) What happens first?

A) After your enquiry we will come and visit you for an initial consultation either at your preferred wedding venue or at home. We will get to find out your requirements, wishes and dreams. We want you to get to know us and us to find out as much as we can about you as a couple. Once we have all your ideas we put together a proposal and quotation for you detailing all our service costs in a simple and transparent format. Upon approval North East Wedding Planners will supply you with a formal contract. We will ensure you receive regular updates as plans progress, by email, phone or meetings in person can be arranged whenever you feel it necessary.

Q) We have a small budget can I still hire a wedding planner?

A) North East Wedding Planners can help you save money by ensuring you staywithin your budget. We will negotiate the very best prices with recommended suppliers, provide imaginative cost saving solutions, and find the greatest discounts on services and products, we have no budget restrictions and love a challenge.. No matter whether your wedding is a small intimate affair or lavish event we will be able to assist you. We have previously coordinated weddings in social clubs, golf clubs and castle’s, it is your wedding, your day your way.

Q) I want to plan most of my wedding but need assistance with one or two areas?

A) We have no package limitation’s, therefore we are able to offer assistance in specific areas you need help with. We can help you find that extraordinary evening entertainment, unique transport, florist or just by providing a little help pulling a theme together

Q) My venue already has a wedding co-ordinator? Why do I need a Wedding Planner?

A) We are happy to work with on site co-ordinators when planning and arranging your wedding. However most onsite co-ordinators do not get involved in the overall picture of your wedding and you must remember that they are employed by the venue and not you! They may be linked to certain suppliers, be on commission or charge a handling fee and not have the time to get to know you either. An onsite co-ordinator may even have the day off on your wedding and therefore not be there for you. North East Wedding Planners are totally independent and work on behalf of you, sourcing the regions best suppliers at the lowest cost, creating the most simple to outlandish room settings all for you.

Q) Do you book multiple weddings for the same day?

A) No. We pride ourselves on providing professional yet personal attention to all our brides and only secure one wedding per week to ensure this first class rate of service.

Q) Do you plan Gay or Lesbian Weddings/ Civil Partnership

A) We can organise Gay or Lesbian Civil Ceremonies and will be happy to assist with yours. The North East of England has a number of unique and wonderful settings for such weddings including castles, period homes, hotels and an assortment of rural locations, cliff tops, woodlands etc.
The romantic element of every Wedding is of utmost importance and we are happy to work with every couple to help achieve a meaningful and special occasion..

Q) I have booked most of the main areas of my wedding, venue, photographer but I am worried I am running out of time to organise the small things?

A) No matter whether it is 18 months or 2 weeks until your special day if the items on your “to-do” list keeps growing or you are feeling stressed we will be able to assist you. We have a proven track record in stepping in at short notice to simply pull everything together and bring all your hard work back on track.

Q) Will a Wedding Planner/Consultant want to take control and run the whole show?

A) Some might. But, realistically, your wedding is all about YOU! We are professionals and work with our brides in handling as much or as little of the wedding planning as you want. It is your wedding and we would never want to deprive you of the fun of planning and making key decisions. You make all of the ultimate decisions; we make sure that everything is executed according to plan. It's still your wedding, but it's our job!

Q) My mom or a family friend is going to help plan the wedding. Why do I need to a professional?

A) Even though your friends and family want to help you plan your special day, in reality, they are emotionally involved and therefore unable to give a total impartial understanding of what you really want. They may all also feel uncomfortable taking charge and making decisions that are going to effect the most important day of your life or struggle to allocate the time(average wedding over 250 hours) needed to research suppliers, visit venues and the list goes on. North East Wedding Planners can do all this for you, while knowing which suppliers are reliable and cost effective.

Q) Can you help me with interfering relatives?

A) Yes of course we can. We can give them jobs to be involved with that make them feel valued but without controlling your plans and wishes for your day. We can also help you if necessary explain your wishes to relatives, it sometimes help to involve them in maybe visiting the venue and listening to their opinions before you proceed with your own wishes. Remember they only want the best for you… their best may just be a little different to yours!
